About Stewa

STEWA is a TRUST, headed by the ex-teachers, current Principal, and alumni from the school.
Built on the principles of empathy and kindness for all, STEWA ensures that all the employees gain the benefits of the funds for medical reasons after their retirement.
Retirement plans need to be happy. However, teachers do not get enough credit – both metaphorical and financial. Due to government policies, the retirement age is fixed at 58. Increased life expectancy and skyrocketing costs of medical aid make it difficult for retired teachers.
A robust alumni network at Udgam, led to the inception of STEWA – for all the teaching and non-teaching staff. It is a place where the professional family contributes towards the retirement fund.

How does it work?

As it is an independent trust of the school, beneficiary needs to fill application form and submit minimal documentation of KYC and medical bills. Documents are required to support one’s claim and for future references. The eligible amount would be based on the number of years of service at the school and not the level of grade pays. Committee members have the authority to decide the eligibility criteria and accepting claims or not after verifying the submitted documents. They may ask for more documents if required.
